Here is the call for application of the summer workshop organized in Rome by our Institute to propitiate the approach of the young scholars in History, Art History and Architecture, Archival and Library Studies, and Museology, to the knowledge and the use of the archives of some great noble Roman families, through lectures and workshops held by renowned scholars who have attended them and deeply know them, and through guided tours to the Archives of the Caetani, Colonna, Doria Pamphilj, Massimo and Orsini families. During the last week of the next month of May 2023, a selected group of researchers will be guided to the comprehension of the documents, together with the knowledge of the archives and the art collections of those families. Here is the call for application of the second winter seminar organized by our Institute to to propitiate the approach of the young scholars in Humanities to the knowledge and the use of the archives of the Holy See and of the Roman Catholicism, through lectures and workshops held by renowned scholars who have attended them and deeply know them, and through guided tours to the State Archives of Rome, and to the Archives of the Congregation for the doctrine of the faith, Propaganda Fide, Apostolic Penitentiary and Fabbrica di San Pietro. During the last week of the next month of January 2023, a selected group of researchers will be guided to the comprehension of the papal documents, together with the knowledge of the archives they are stored in. Here is the eighth edition of the ‘Sangalli Institute Award for the Religious History’, in collaboration with the Department of University and Research of the Municipality of Florence, with a judging board composed of renowned Italian and Foreign scholars. Also this year, our award is joining the ‘Premio Ricerca Città di Firenze’ and it is addressed to young Italian and Foreign researchers, offering them the possibility of publishing two books concerning the religious history from Middle Ages to the Contemporary Era, in an inter-disciplinary and inter-religious perspective. The essays will appear in a dedicated book series of the Firenze University Press. Deadline: 1st November 2022.

From 13th to 17ht June 2022, a selected group of researchers will be guided to the comprehension of the documents, together with the knowledge of the archives they are stored in: a unique occasion for scholars involved in the history of the religious orders and more broadly in the history of Catholicism in the early modern, modern and contemporary eras. The Sangalli Institute is glad to announce to the international community of the young researchers (included the Italians) the publication of the call for applications to the ‘Young Scholars Florence Fellowships in Religious History and Religious Studies’: three residencial monthly fellowhips (worth 2.000,00 euros each) will be offered for 2020 to international young scholars of any nationality with an adequate qualification on religious topics, privileging interdisciplinary and interreligious perspectives.
