For Montini-La Pira epistolary, 1944-1963: the results

1° May 2016 – 1° February 2017

  1. Giuseppe Emiliano Bonura and Maria Chiara Rioli (winners ex-aequo)

The judging commission, composed by proff. Bruna Bocchini Camaiani, Carlo Fantappiè and Xenio Toscani, carefully evaluated all the candidacies and decided to choose Giuseppe Emiliano Bonura and Maria Chiara Rioli. The scientific experiences of other candidates, still with remarkable profiles, are less adequate for the work’s execution. The Commission conferred ex-aequo the scholarship, having noticed different competences in the selected candidates, one from a philological-linguistic point of view, and the other from an historical one, both fundamental. It was also asked to the Sangalli Institute to increment adequately the initial funding, so that the young scholars can remain in the city for the period needed for their researches. The Institute Managing Board decided to accept the request after a careful consideration, being aware of the project’s complexity: it increased the scholarship period from six to ten months as well as the total amount of money, to guarantee an equal distribution between the winners.
