The Central Archives of the Religious Orders and their Education Institutions: lectures, workshops, guided tours

We are going to restart, after the pause due to the pandemic, the appointment with our Roman weekly workshop wishing to propitiate the approach of the young scholars in Humanities to the knowledge and the use of the central archives of the religious orders and their education institutions, through lectures and workshops held by renowned scholars who have attended them and deeply know them, and through guided tours to the Historical Archives of the Dominican Friars, to the Central Archives of the Capuchins Friars, to the Archivum Romanum Societatis Iesu, to the Archives of the Venerable English College and the Saint Isidore’s Irish College. From 13th to 17ht June 2022, a selected group of researchers will be guided to the comprehension of the documents, together with the knowledge of the archives they are stored in: a unique occasion for scholars involved in the history of the religious orders and more broadly in the history of Catholicism in the early modern, modern and contemporary eras.
